Friends :)

Wow, this weekend was full of friends and I. Loved. It

Probably one of my favorite weekends in a long time; simply because every since Jackson was born its really hard to do planned events because you just never know what will go wrong that day. But we were jammed packed this weekend seeing some of my favorites! Started out with our weekly dinner with our "old but new" friends at Vida Loca, The Rices' and The Pittengers' (and of course all 5 of the kiddos). This week my sister and her fam joined and the Wilson's did too (this added an additional 3 kids). I'm liking this fun tradition of going to Vida Loca and watching kids run around while the adults sit on the patio and eat mexican food and drink. What sounds better especially with the awesome weather that we have been having!

On Saturday, we just did typical stuff around the house and went on our normal walk around Spring Lake. Have I mentioned that Jackson loves going for this walk?  He just sits back and enjoys the scene. That afternoon the Lagasse Family came over for a playdate. Jackson loved playing with sweet Brynn. That night my sisters family came over and Lindsay joined for steaks and wine! Yum :) Yes, we did all that in one day!

On Sunday, after our walk,  I made my normal run to HEB which was tons of fun! Seriously, I love going there! Its so wonderful and I just load up because every time I go I'm starving.  That night my favorite girls came over. So fun seeing Jill and Matt and the glow she has on her face since she is expecting this summer! Woo hoo! Amy and Brett came with precious lil Preston. Wow, that boy is cute :) and of course sweet Abs! I always know we will get into the wine when Abby comes. We made lasagna and it was delicious.

That's all for now! What a wonderful weekend with some of our best friends!

Toes!

Look who can't get enough of his toes. He had them in his mouth the whole time during bath time! He has known about his toes for a while now but just the other day he decided to take it to a whole new level.

Baptism

This past weekend Jackson got baptised at St. Peter's United Methodist Church. It was such a special occasion and he did so wonderful. I got baptised at St. Peter's so it was even more special for me. He wore a precious Feltman Brothers white romper with knee high socks. I was pretty bummed when his precious white shoes that Jeni and Tim gave him didn't fit. But he still looked so sweet. I can't wait for him to wear this outfit again for Easter. It probably won't fit but we will try it again!

After the service all of our family came back over to our house for brunch. We served Junior League Breakfast Tarts, orange rolls/cinammon rolls, and my mom's famous spinach salad. It was such a special day and we are thankful for all that shared it with us!

Here is proof of just how precious Jackson is these days:

6 months old!

I can hardly believe that 1/2 of a year has passed since our little Jackson came into this world! He is such a joy and we are so lucky that he is ours :) Not a day goes by that we aren't in complete "awe" over him. He is just SO perfect to us. I can't begin to tell you just how happy he makes Justin and I.  We are just so proud to be his parents!!!

Here are his stats:
Height: 27 3/4 inches tall (90th percentile)
Weight: 17 pounds 2 ounces (45th percentile)
Head: 17 1/4 inches (53rd percentile)

Here is what he's up to these days!
Wearing size 2-3 diapers in the day and size 3 during the night
Size 6-9 month clothes
Hates the car seat (use to love it but lately he's not a fan)
Hates getting a new diaper. It's almost impossible to put one on him without him flipping over!
Sleeps on his stomach. It's just what he prefers!
Can officially roll both ways
Loves standing (with my help)
Can almost sit by himself without falling to the side...( i say another week or so and he'll be a pro)
Smiles instantly the second Justin or I walk into the room
I think he'll be shy or quiet when he grows up
Will not sit in his bouncer anymore
Loves the Exersaucer
Drools everywhere and can soak an outfit in minutes on a good day!
Won't take his pacifier anymore
Eats 4 bottles/day with a total of 28 oz per day (6am, 10, 2, 6)
Eats fruit for lunch and veggies for dinner.
Goes to bed at 7:00...wakes up at 6:00

I decided to compare pictures from his one month photos! Can you believe how huge he is getting!!! Its so sad that he's not a "newborn" anymore!

Happy boy :)
