Happy Father's Day to the BEST daddy ever!

Justin is the absolute best! I don’t know of any other husband that drops everything the second they walk in the door to see their son…or anyone that literally gets upset when he has to work late because that means that’s less time for Jackson when he gets home. It’s funny how since we have had Jackson, Justin and I’s conversations sure have changed! Justin calls me every morning when he gets to work….not to find out how or what I’m doing but to see how Jackson is doing, whats he’s doing at that time, what time he woke up, did he finish his milk etc….Sometimes I wonder what we talked about before Jackson was born Haha! It’s so precious to see Justin and Jackson play together. There really is no better sight than seeing my boys together…Seriously, I’m trying to think of something better than that and there is really nothing better! Gosh, I’m so lucky!!! Happy Father’s Day to my favorite dads….Justin, my dad and my father-in-law Bob. Yall are such a great example and a true definition of what being a father is all about! Thanks for setting a great example.

Oh, and while at the lake Jackson went swimming in the lake for the first time and had his first boat ride. He fell asleep 3 minutes into it. I have to say it was an extremely successful 2 hour boat ride!
Justin and I about to go for a jet ski ride!
First time in the lake
sleepy boy.
My favorite :)
He escaped while I was changing his diaper!

Memorial Day

This is long over due but I just want to document so we don’t forget how much fun we had Memorial Day weekend 2011. We went to the Rice’s beautiful bay house in Galveston! Imagine 10 adults, 8 kids ALL weekend long! Enough said…enjoy the pictures! Jackson ate sand for a few hours went to the beach for the first time! He LOVED it and I see a beach vacation sometime soon?! Any takers?
Thanks Rice Family for including us!

"I'm gonna get your toes!"

Jackson loves when I get down on my hands and knees and chase him around. He squeels, smiles, screams and gets super excited! I had him going really good today and grabbed the video camera half way through to capture this adorable giggle that he does. Sorry for the video aim, I put it on the bar stool and started the chase! I go after his toes in this video!

10 months old

Wow, in just 2 short months we will be celebrating the big "1st birthday". Its hard to believe that this time last year I was 8 months pregnant just waiting to meet my little boy! He is turning into a toddler way too fast. It's bittersweet to watch him grow up and I wish he would slow down for just a second so I can soak it all in! Here is my lil boy...and yes, he is ALL boy! Climbs to the top of anything, eats off the floor, loves to crawl around naked, pees when he feels like it. The only thing girly about him is his high pitched squeal when I start the bathtub! I need to get it on video so you can witness just how cute it sounds.

-size 4 diapers
-12-18 month clothes
-climbs up on anything he can reach
-won't sit still for even a second
-eats ALL table food now
-only 2 teeth, but I can see 4 more starting to come in
-sleeps 7pm to 6:30am, but stays in crib until 7am
-doesn't cry anymore when we put him to bed. He use to cry for 2 minutes but now he just plays for a minute then goes to sleep
-can stand by himself for about 10 seconds...then falls over
-can climb the stairs
-gets really excited when I chase him around the house
-loves the pantry and the laundry room and somehow quietly sneaks into both when I'm not looking
-could open and close doors all day long. He seriously loves playing with doors.
-loves to play peek-a-boo
-waves "bye" to anything and everything when we walk away from something
-says mama/dada. Knows what the fan, ball and bath are.
-drinks 24 oz/day with 3 meals (8,12,5:30)
